About Us

Our university was established with the Law No. 3837 dated 03.07.1992 published in the Official Gazette dated 11.07.1992 and numbered 21281. The Institute of Fine Arts, which was opened with the founding law of our university dated 03.07.1992 and numbered 3837, was put into operation in the 2005-2006 academic year; The proposal of our University Rector's Office regarding the transfer of Painting, Graphics, Theatre, Traditional Turkish Handicrafts and Archaeoceramic branches of the Social Sciences Institute to the Fine Arts Institute was accepted with the resolution of our University Senate on 14.04.2005 and numbered 199/3, and it was accepted by the Süleyman Demirel University Rector's Office. It was proposed to the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education with the letter dated 22/04/2005 and numbered B.30.2.SDU.0.70.72.244/463-4746. The decision was reviewed at the Higher Education General Assembly meeting dated 03.06.2005 and the proposal in question was approved in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of the Law No. 2547 amended by the Law No. 2880 and Article 6 of the Law No. 2809. Master's degree in Archaeoceramics, Traditional Turkish Arts, Graphic Design, Painting, Performing Arts, Art and Design and Music Majors at the Fine Arts Institute; Art proficiency training is provided in the Art and Design Department and the Painting Department. The graduate programs at the Institute of Fine Arts aim to be a pioneer in the field of Fine Arts in the academic structuring and interdisciplinary education model throughout the country. It is necessary to train qualified people with knowledge and experience. In this context, postgraduate education is provided with seven programs affiliated to the Süleyman Demirel University Fine Arts Institute, which tends to keep its line high by introducing different science, art and cultural policies in line with the returns of the modern world. The Institute offers an optional solution to students who are not content with the undergraduate education they have received and who have the understanding of furthering their knowledge. The programs at the Fine Arts Institute aim to contribute to the art policy of our country with a qualified academic structure and research. Our Institute continues its education with a total of 149 students as of the end of the 2021-2022 Academic Year Fall Semester. Enstitümüz faaliyete geçtiği günden itibaren yüksek lisans programlarında toplam 208, sanatta yeterlik programlarında 45 mezun vermiştir.
